I love Thai food.  I have always had a difficult time finding really amazing Thai food when eating out.  If you have ever run into a similar dilemma you’ll find comfort in knowing that you can make it yourself at home.  You will even be able to come pretty close to mocking the authentic Thai taste.

I believe the secret is in the ingredients.  Like all things.  The taste comes from using a blended knowledge of spices and fresh ingredients.  Authentic Thai food looks like a hot mess but tastes like heaven.  Once you gain a little experience cooking Thai food you will discover that it is actually very simple to do.

Ingredients and Directions for Thai Green Curry Pork with Vegetables

1.  Ingredients

2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

1 lb pork tenderloin, thinly sliced

2 stalks of celery, sliced on an angle

1/4 each of a red and green pepper, sliced

1 small carrot, sliced

2 green onions

2 cloves of garlic, crushed and chopped

1 cup of mini bella mushrooms

1 teaspoon red curry paste (optional, for extra spice)

2 cups hot Thai green curry sauce

To Prepare:

2. In a non-stick fry pan or wok over medium-high heat add half of the vegetable oil.  Once the oil is hot add the the sliced pork to the pan in a single layer making sure not to over crowd.  You may have to do more than one batch of pork at a time.

3. Brown the pork.  Turn the pork over and brown on the opposite side.  Cook the pork only until it loses its pink.  Remove the pork from the pan and set aside.

4. Add the remaining oil to the pan.  With the pan still over high heat add the vegetables and saute until tender but still crisp, this should take about 3-5 minutes.

5. Add the pork back to the fry pan with the vegetables and stir.

6. Add the Thai green curry sauce to the pan and simmer until the pork is cooked through.

Serve over a bed of Thai rice noodles, cooked according to the package directions.

This is one of those dishes that you just can not pass on.  Thai food is so delicious.  Although, this dish is far from what you would ever be served if you were in Thailand, it is pretty darn close.

    That looks really great. And I love how you do your step by steps. They’re so easy to follow and don’t take up too much scrolling space.
